Welcome to our zoo!

Once upon a time there was a couple, Greg and Emily. They lived in Ann Arbor and had a quiet, peaceful existence with their dog, Oberon, and their cat, Puck. Then they foolishly decided to buy a house and get another dog, Omar, and another cat, Bubs. These are their stories.

Running Circles

Puppy friend makes great exercise for Obi, even when Omar just sits there. The difference in energy levels is stark. But at least Obi is always exhausted at the end of the day.

Sticks and snails and puppy dog tails

The puppies get in some quality playtime with a stick. It's funny how much they both love sticks. And they're getting better at the sharing, too. They can both chew the same stick at the same time with only mild levels of frustration. Such good puppies!!

Yard Cleanup Begins...

With 4+ years of leaves on the ground we were going to need more help than Obi could offer...preferably some with opposable thumbs...but we took all the help we could get. As night fell on day one we realized that we had only made it about halfway around the pool. Raking, bagging and transporting that much soggy, half-frozen leaf litter is more exhausting than you would guess.


After the initial once-over, we left what we had collected (forty-two 30 gal. bags of leaves and sticks) for the city to haul away. Little did we know that there would be another 25+ bags of leaves and 30 some odd bundles of sticks to go before the yard we would be able to enjoy our beautiful back yard, and all the, um...dirt (yeah, no grass whatsoever) it has to offer.

Obi's Tour

Obi's first time in the house - immediately after we closed. He enjoyed sniffing everything.

Closing Day

The two of us, immediately after closing on our brand new (to us) house!! We are homeowners!!
