With 4+ years of leaves on the ground we were going to need more help than Obi could offer...preferably some with opposable thumbs...but we took all the help we could get. As night fell on day one we realized that we had only made it about halfway around the pool. Raking, bagging and transporting that much soggy, half-frozen leaf litter is more exhausting than you would guess.After the initial once-over, we left what we had collected (forty-two 30 gal. bags of leaves and sticks) for the city to haul away. Little did we know that there would be another 25+ bags of leaves and 30 some odd bundles of sticks to go before the yard we would be able to enjoy our beautiful back yard, and all the, um...dirt (yeah, no grass whatsoever) it has to offer.
